Luee

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.

ZIPPY CELEBRATES JUNE 20

GOOD MORNING FELLOW ZIPSTERS,

Taking over today from the "Big Boss" of the blog and we know who he is.  I thought a history lesson of June 20 would be nice so lets see what the day has brought.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES:

First of all to all the Guys and Dolls celebrating theirs today Joey Z and I wish you a great day and many more years to come.

1909 - Actor Errol Flynn, one of my all time favorites.  Star of Robin Hood, Captain Blood and They Died with Their Boots On.  He was a good looking guy and quite the ladies man in Hollywood, read his bio.

1920 - DeForest Kelley, Dr. McCoy from the original Star Trek series.  Better known as "Bones."

1924 - Audie Murphy, the highest medal winner in World War II.  The movie "To Hell and Back", was a true story of his life.  He later became an actor and starred in many western films.  Died at an early age due to a plane crash.

1928 - Martin Landau, actor from the original series "Mission Impossible."

1942 - Brian Wilson, singer and leader of the Beach Boys.

1953 - My gal Cyndi Lauper, singer, "Girls Just Want to have Fun."

TAKEN AWAY TODAY:

1947 - Gangster Bugsy Siegel, shot to death in Beverly Hills, CA.  The mob finds all Bugsy.

GREAT THINGS THAT OCCURED TODAY:

1791 - King Louis XVI was caught trying to escape from the French Revolution.  Off with his head.

1793 - Eli Whitney, applies for a cotton gin patent.  He got it.

1893 - Lizzie Borden, found innocent of murder, she had a great attorney back in those days I guess.

1948 - The show "Toast of the Town", is hosted by Ed Sullivan.  I wonder if he used that phrase, "We have a really big show for you tonight."

Hope you all have a great day and I sure Joey Z will bring you up to some food holidays and other happening events in June tomorrow.
