Luee

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.

SOMETHING TO SHARE

Good Morning Guys and Dolls,

My wife Roe sent me this poem by an unknown author that I want to share with you today.  Some of my friends have received this for the rest of you readers enjoy a meaningful poem.  I think this makes me feel thankful, as most of the times I am a big complainer of problems that I suffer from.  Share them with your loved ones or friends.  Have a great day.

THE WORLD IS MINE - Author Unknown
Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful woman And wished I were as beautiful.
When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and used a crutch. But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I have two legs; the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy. The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad. If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me, "I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you. You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I have two eyes; the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street, I saw a child I knew.
He stood and watched the others play, but he did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said, "Why don't you join them dear?"
He looked ahead without a word. I forgot, he couldn't hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I have two ears; the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go..
With eyes to see the sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I'd like to know, Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

If this poem makes you feel thankful, just forward it to your friends.
After all, it's just a simple reminder that we have so much to be thankful
for!
Give the gift of love. It never comes back empty !

I have been truly blessed with an AWESOME FAMILY & FRIENDS !

I'M TALKING VOTING TODAY

HELLO SPEAKIES:

I USUALLY DO NOT GET INVOLVED IN POLITICS ON MY SITE.  HOWEVER IT IS ONLY 2 WEEKS AWAY FROM THE ELECTION AND I URGE EVERYONE TO GET OUT THERE AND VOTE.  NO MATTER WHAT I SAY TODAY MOST PEOPLE HAVE MADE UP THEIR MINDS, BUT I NEED TO SAY WHAT IF FEEL ON MY BLOG.

I AM A DEMOCRAT AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN, SO HAS MY FAMILY AND I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT.  MY PARENTS NOR I WERE BORN WITH SILVER SPOONS IN OUR MOUTHS.  MY MOM AND DAD WORKED HARD ALL THEIR LIFE AS BLUE COLLAR WORKERS AND SO DID ROE AND I.  BEFORE THEY PASSED ON I WAS GLAD TO SEE THEM REAP THE REWARDS THEY EARNED AND CONTRIBUTED TO FOR ALL THOSE YEARS.  NOW THAT I'VE RETIRED I'M ENJOYING MINE AND WOULD HATE TO SEE THOSE OF MY AGE LOSE THEIR BENEFITS THAT THEY WORKED SO HARD FOR AND EARNED.

MY OPINION OF PRESIDENT OBAMA IS THAT HE IS WORKING FOR US THE MIDDLE CLASS OF AMERICA AND NOT THE BIG CORPORATIONS THAT RUN THIS COUNTRY  WHICH MITT IS A PART OF (AND YOU KNOW HE IS).  HE AND HIS TOADIE RYAN CAN SAY WHAT THEY WANT BUT BABY ITS ALL FOR THE RICH.  HOW MANY REPUBLICAN SENIOR RETIRED CITIZENS AND VOTERS OUT THERE ARE MAKING OVER $300,000 A YEAR?  ODDS ARE NOT GREAT ESPECIALLY FOR THE SENIORS.  OBAMA CAME IN TO HELP THE ECONOMY FROM THE DISASTER OF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION WITH HIS BIG CORPORATE SPONSORS AND THAT WAR MONGER DIP SHIT HE HAD AS VP WHO COULD NOT SHOOT STRAIGHT WITH A GUN.  HERE IS ANOTHER THING DICK CHENEY HAD HEART PROBLEMS AND AT HIS AGE RECEIVED A TRANSPLANT.  FOR YOU SENIORS OUT THERE YOU TRY TO GET A TRANSPLANT, SORRY YOU ARE TOO OLD JUST DIE, LET ME TELL YOU THEY DON'T CARE ON BIT.  DO YOU KNOW WHY?  YOU ARE NOT PART OF THEIR CLUB TO BENEFIT SUCH HEALTH CARE NEEDS.  I BELIEVE IN HEALTH CARE FOR EVERYONE.  SUPPOSE THE YOUNG PEOPLE COMING UP THE RANKS TODAY AND SUDDENLY THEIR EMPLOYERS DECIDE TO CANCEL THEIR HEALTH CARE.  TRY TO BUY IT ON YOUR OWN AND SEE THE COST IS.  LET OBAMA'S HEALTH CARE PLAN HAVE A CHANCE OR ALL OF YOU WILL BE GOING TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM WHEN NEEDED.  GOT THAT CITIZENS OF THE U.S.  MARK MY WORDS FOR THE FUTURE.

AND TO ALL YOU SENIORS AND  THOSE GOING TO BE SENIORS ONE DAY, THEY ARE TAKING AWAY YOUR RETIREMENT PLANS, SOCIAL SECURITY, MEDICARE AND GIVING THAT MONEY TO THEIR FRIENDS THE LOBBYISTS ON CAPITAL HILL AND WALL ST.

WISE THE HELL UP AND VOTE RIGHT NOT ONLY FOR YOURSELVES BUT FOR THE CITIZENS OF AMERICA AND THE GENERATIONS TO COME.  THIS IS THE OPINION OF JOEY Z.

WAKE UP U.S. - DON'T FORGET THE BIRDS

Happy Thursday Guys and Dolls:

Let’s check out some more monthly holidays celebrated in January.

Poverty in America Month – a few weeks ago I saw a clip from a news channel show the day our troops were withdrawn from Iraq. Over 4,000 American lives were lost, 32,000 wounded and thousands upon thousands of Iraq citizens killed. The total cost of that war was in the upper billions. Profits were made by war contractors and the lobbyists pushing their support for those companies. The ironic thing was on that withdrawal date Iraqi citizens were burning our flag and the new government making agreements to merge a pact with Iran, what a crock of sh_ _ and a waste of life and money. Let’s face it haven’t we learned anything from Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and that other conflict in Afghanistan. All we are doing is losing more lives and draining our economy to do what, fill the pockets of companies profiting from those wars and the lobbyist who drum up their business. Take that money; invest it in jobs roads, bridges and other needs for Americans who are suffering from lack of work, food and medical care. Does it take a brain surgeon to figure this all out? That’s Joey Z’s opinion on Poverty Month.

It’s also National Bird Day – I feel sorry for our fine feathered friends in the winter. If I have stale bread, donuts, cereal or anything I think birds like to eat, out I go the back of our property and provide them with a good meal. So don’t forget our little friends in the upcoming cold months.

National Whipped Cream Day is celebrated on this date. Whipped cream on Pumpkin Pie or pudding is my favorite. My sons always loved shooting it straight from the can into their mouths. I’ll let you decide where you like your whipped cream to go.

Have a great day Speakies, talk to you soon.

SO IT IS WRITTEN; SO LET IT BE DONE

Good Tuesday Morning Guys and Dolls:

I thought I would give you a day of Paraprosdokians today to you can say witty or sarcastic things to the people you run into. For those of you who forgot what Paraprosdokians are: it is a figure of speech which the latter part of a sentence or phrase is surprising or unexpected in a way that causes the reader or listener to reframe or reinterpret the first part. Now do you understand? Let’s have fun.

THE LAST THING I WANT TO DO IS HURT YOU. BUT IT’S STILL ON MY LIST.

WE NEVER REALLY GROW UP, WE ONLY LEARN HOW TO ACT IN PUBLIC.

WAR DOES NOT DETERMINE WHO IS RIGHT, ONLY WHO IS LEFT.

WOMEN WILL NEVER BE EQUAL TO MEN UNTIL THEY CAN WALK DOWN THE STREET WITH A BALD HEAD AND A BEER GUT AND STILL THINK THEY ARE SEXY.

BEHIND EVERY SUCCESSFUL MAN IS HIS WOMAN. BEHIND THE FALL OF A SUCCESSFUL MAN IS USUALLY ANOTHER WOMAN.

CHANGE IS INEVITABLE, EXCEPT FROM A VENDING MACHINE.

GOING TO CHURCH DOESN’T MAKE YOU A CHRISTIAN ANY MORE THAN STANDING IN A GARAGE MAKES YOU A CAR. - I LOVE THAT ONE; SO TRUE IN TODAY’S CONSTANT SHOVE IT DOWN YOUR THROAT CONVERSATIVE CHRISTIAN THINKING.

I USED TO BE INDECISIVE. NOW I’M NOT SURE.

AND FINALLY – I ALWAYS TAKE LIFE WITH A GRAIN OF SALT, PLUS A SLICE OF LEMON AND A SHOT OF TEQUILA.

HAVE A GREAT DAY GANG.

SAY IT AIN'T SO JOE

Hello Speakies:

I thought I was done writing for today but of course looking at the news up pops a story to get my gander going. The Board of Education is considering banning sugary drinks including chocolate milk. OK I can see soda being considered but chocolate milk. One can have low-fat chocolate milk but banning chocolate milk period is just another Florida political dumbass idea. These boobs are afraid of the kids becoming obese but yet they are the same ones that took away physical education in most of the schools. Go figure it Speakies. What is next O’Great Board of Education?

This is just another opinion of JoeyZ.

I WANT MY TV SHOWS NOW

Good Morning Guys and Dolls:

Yesterday I was thinking and I don’t want to hear “I thought I smelled something burning” from any of you guys. TV shows, I know we have our new favorites, our old favorites and that’s what I want to write about today. We have satellite as our provider and with all the channels the Western Channel and TV Land are the only ones that provide some of the nostalgia shows from the 60’s and 70’s.

I say we need a few more channels for some of the shows I remember from that time period. Let’s call them the Detective Channel, Nostalgia Comedy Channel and You Asked For It Channel. The reason is last night one channel had the Golden Girls on all night long, now I liked the show at one time but I don’t want to see it over and over again, it has to go. Now here are some of my shows I would love to see, now you can write in and let me know your favorites also.

The Detective Channel:

77 Sunset Strip
Hawaiian Eye
Ironside
Bourbon Street Beat
Surfside 6
Quincy M.E.
Longstreet
Banacek

Nostalgia Comedy Channel:

The Dean Martin Roasts
The Love Boat
Carol Burnett Show
The Dick Van Dyke Show
Barney Miller

You Asked For It Channel:

The Invaders
One Step Beyond
The Outer Limits
Battlestar Galactica
The Rat Patrol
Combat
Mission Impossible

There you go Guys and Dolls just to name a few. If you want to comment or add a TV Channel of your own, we can start a list to submit to these cable and satellite guys, let’s get tough, down with reality shows and up with the past.
Today we also celebrate some holidays:
Administrative Professional Day - God Bless Them All for putting up with all that bull.
Kindergarten Day - We celebrate Kindergarten Day, in honor of Friedrich Froebel who was born on April 21, 1782 and who started the first Kindergarten in Germany in 1837. The school was built upon a series of innovative principles that used the curiosity and interests of children to guide them through song and play (which was unheard of in earlier schools); daily lessons in drawing, design, and other artistic activities; and learning through active doing and close contacts with the natural world.
National Chocolate Covered Cashews Day - Give me the plain nut any day.
Have a great day Speakies.

SCUMBAG NEWS REPORT

Good Day Speakies:

Here's a news story out of Kissimmee, FL. A father or if you can call him that was arrested yesterday and being held without bond for child abuse. Seems this trash dad forced his son to kneel on bottle caps after he brought home a sad face on his work assignment. There was also a note stating he disturbed his class. The teacher noted bruises on the boy and proceeded to call the local authorities thus resulting in this scumbags arrest.

Maybe the kid was goofing, but if you were a real dad, help your son with his homework, give him some attention instead of sitting on your porch, smoking and drinking your cheap brand beer. You deserve what you are going to get butt munch. I'd bang nails into your knees.

Strictly the opinion of JoeyZ.

DANCING WITH JOEYZ

Happy Thursday Speakies:

Hope you all are having a nice day so far, for me it has been a very productive day to this point. Now let me see what I can poke fun at today. I know, the new line up for Dancing with the Stars. Roe and I use to love this show, but it became too predictable and at times we got ticked off on who they voted off, so let me give you the stars and my views. Of course they are strictly the opinions of Joey Z.

Buzz Aldrin – Retired Astronaut: His first dance will be the Bossa Nova to the song, “Fly Me To The Moon.”

Pamela Anderson – She will be very interesting to watch in those short costumes.

Erin Andrews – Months ago no one knew who she was. Can she dance is the question? I think she will perform well.

Shannen Doherty – Another pretty face to watch move around.

Kate Gosselin – Hear they are building a dance studio in her home so she can practice and not travel to California. I can hear it now, “Mommy when are you going to make dinner?”

Evan Lysacek – Olympic Gold Medal Skater – Those sports guys are always up in the top three.

Niecy Nash – Reno 911, never watched it, good luck.

Chad Ochocinco – NFL Wide Receiver, he’ll probably change his name with every new dance he does.

Jake Pavelka – A Bachelor Star – How many reality shows do you need Jake?

Nicole Scherzinger – Pussycat Dolls Singer – HUBBA HUBBA . She's my favorite.

Aiden Turner – Soap Opera Star – I never saw you on TV, good luck though.

And for my final view, I hope this Professional Dancer wins this year, my Polish girl Edyta Sliwinska. Go Edyta.

Have a great day Guys and Dolls.

SIT DOWN MOMMA, JOEYZ WILL TEASE YOUR HAIR

Hello Speakies:

Reality TV is my subject today. I don’t watch that many shows, I have my favorites Criminal Minds, Modern Family, Chuck, Pro Football and than the channels History Channel, Food Channel and a few more for kicks. I’m not a big fan of reality TV but I saw an advertisement for one that frosted me last night. To me it should be called Tierra and Throw Momma in Jail. It was about the backstage highlights of little girls getting ready for those kiddy beauty pageants. One “Momma Wanted To Be A Beauty Queen” was pulling so hard on her little girl’s hair to tease you could see the tears flowing down her cheeks. One Zippo Blond Momma said, “I was so excited when I found out my baby was going to be a girl”, she immediately started filling applications out for these Tiny Tot Pageants. These mothers and pardon my French but they are mothers in every sense of the word should be locked up in jail for child abuse. Let little girls and even boys grow up without being forced into these ridiculous contests. If your ambitions failed don’t force them on the little ones who do not understand yet. Children should be children, let them play, play and play more.

Strictly the opinion of JoeyZ.

ONLY IN AMERICA

Good Morning Speakies:

Here’s a good story out of Los Angeles, California. You may have read this or seen it on TV; I’m not sure so I’m letting you know the story here on JoeyZ’s Blog. As you know LA is the land of Hollywood glitz and glamour. You can take a tour of where the stars live and play, ride down Rodeo Drive and see all the fashionable shops and the rest of those haunts of the very rich. Well now gather around JoeyZ and listen to this. For only $65 a person, yes folks $65 and signing a waiver that you could become a victim of crime, you too can tour gang-plagued communities with LA Gang Tours. Ex-gang members say they have negotiated a cease-fire among rivals in the most violent gangland in America. I admire the cleverness of these gang leaders, maybe trying to change their life style while making a profit along the way.

Can you picture this scene, you arrive with your group at Gangland Tours, there is no fee for parking your vehicle however a $10 protection fee is requested to guarantee no harm will come to your vehicle. After paying your $65 fee you are escorted to your 6 passenger low-rider car and whisked off to start your tour. You have to love LA and only in America.

I have to get into a racket like this. Maybe I should start JoeyZ’s Tours of My Neighborhood. I can rent a golf cart and show you the homes of 2 idiots who are on our Board of Directors, or here’s the house with the broken down car in the driveway. Here is our Clubhouse which is never supplied properly. I heard a voice say do it “they will come and it will only cost them $20 per person.”

Have a great Hump Day Speakies.

IDIOTS AND SWEET THINGS

Good Morning Guys and Dolls:

Here’s hoping all of you had a nice 3 day weekend if it was made available to you. Ours was spent doing a little bathroom renovation, some shopping and of course what would be a holiday without a doctor visit. Sorry to say, getting old is a bitch.

This morning was an extremely foggy day here in Central Florida driving to work. Now we have road idiots here and than we have super road idiots. As bad as the fog was early today I had to have Tonya Tailgate ride my butt as I was doing the speed limit of 55 mph. Upon reaching the divided highway portion, old Tanya zipped around me cell phone in hand giving me a dirty look; I immediately proceeded to give her the Polish up yours sign in full glory. Continuing onto work I noticed other idiots with no lights on making life miserable for normal drivers to see them. I gave up and made God my co-pilot for the rest of the journey to work.

Now on a lighter and sweeter note. We all know Sweetheart Candies, those little heart shaped Valentine’s Day candy notes. I never knew they were made by Necco; I love Necco wafers by the way. Printing on those hearts started in the 1860’s by Daniel Chase, brother of Necco founder Oliver Kasey Chase. The candy was often used for weddings and had such witty sayings as: “Married in pink, he will take a drink”, “Married in White, you have chosen right”, and Married in Satin, Love will be not lasting.” Of course the candies were a little larger then. As time progressed the candies became smaller and the sayings had to fit like “Be Mine”, “Love You” etc. In the 1990’s the sayings had to go along with the times like, “E-Mail Me”, “Fax Me” and even “Call Me.” All I can say to this is I’ll take a Candy Cigarette any day please.

Have a great day Speakies and be careful out there.

FAR AND FEW BETWEEN

Good Morning Speakies:

Working stiffs like us look forward to paid holidays. After the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, the days off are far and few between. We have Martin Luther King Day and for some President’s Day but for most of us the next holiday off is Memorial Day. Think about it that’s not until May, so if you want a day off, call in sick, use a personal or vacation day to ease your pain. Tensions could flare between workers and I’ve located things you would really like to say at work if you could.

I don’t know what your problem is, but I’ll bet it’s hard to pronounce.
How about never? Is never good for you?
I’ll try to be nicer if you’ll try to be smarter.
I like you. You remind me of myself when I was young and stupid.
I’m already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth.
Do I look like a people person?
Sarcasm is just one service I offer.
If I throw a stick, will you leave?
I’m trying to imagine you with a personality.
Nice perfume. Must you marinate in it?
How do I set a laser printer on stun?
Don't bother me. I'm living happily ever after.
You! Off my planet.
Does your train of thought have a caboose?
And now my favorite – Chaos, panic and disorder…my job here is done.

And to really put the icing on the cake, today we celebrate “Blame Somebody Else Day.” Have a nice day and be careful out there.

FISH OR CUT BAIT O'CITY BEAUTIFUL

Hello Guys and Dolls:

The “MUD BOWL” controversy continues in Orlando, FL. The City Beautiful as they call it is now spending tens of thousands of additional tax dollars to put in new grass that will be thrown away later. The reason for this is because another game is scheduled in 3 weeks, the East-West Shrine Game. The city is blaming the use of the field by the high school championship games, the heavy rain prior to the Citrus Bowl game and I’m not surprised they haven’t blamed some witch doctor and his mojo for the field conditions.

Records show they received two bids for sand-grown sod and chose poorly taking the lower priced one. Ya get what you pay for O' City Beautiful Planners. After this upcoming football game and a monster truck rally the sod will be removed again. The city will than hopefully try to raise over one-million dollars from tax-payer money to put in artificial turf. Talk about waste, Southern politics at its finest.

Strictly the opinion of JoeyZ.

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND HERE'S MUD IN YOUR EYE

Good Day Speakies:

Well God was willing and I have returned to mark the start of a new year. Hoping you all had a great New Year’s Eve and Day, feasted well and ready to kick off the New Year with a new head of steam. Easy to say on a Monday but hard to do. Well let’s try to give it a go.

First of all I had to rearrange my music, Christmas is over, but next year I’ll be playing them again. Well, Orlando, FL and the Citrus Bowl took an embarrassing hit on New Year’s Day. The Capital One Bowl turned into the MUD BOWL as called by one ESPN sportscasters. It was like playing in the trenches of World War I, mud and turf flying all over. At half-time the grounds keepers were stomping on the divots just like in Polo. All of Orlando knows the Citrus Bowl itself needs to be repaired period. It’s old, seats are outdated, bathrooms need repair and it leaks like a screen door on a submarine. Voters had to make 3 choices, a new arena for the Orlando, Magic (or they would leave town, big Babies), a new Arts Center which Orlando sorely needs and repairs to the Citrus Bowl. All three passed in the voting so far only the arena for the Magic is being built. Ask the Orlando City Commissioners where the proposed money is being spent. There are only 3 or 4 football games played a year in the stadium, if they want to be a class act city and want to attract more games like they say they do than DO SOMETHING OR FORGET ABOUT IT.

Have a good day Speakies and thank you visitors for stopping by.

ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES

Hello Speakies:

Read a funny news story this morning out of the great State of Utah. Seems a Costco store in Utah took tomatoes off the shelves during a book signing visit by Sarah (Hockey Mom) Palin. As you may recall Palin was pelted by a fruit during a stop at the Mall of America. One customer complained about the store having no tomatoes and was advised by the manager that the tomatoes will be returned to their place on the shelves after Hockey Mom left.

Dear store manager, your customers could have chosen eggs, some nice grapes, ripe kiwi and even strawberries to pelt the great Hockey Mom if they wanted to. You made the poor tomatoes suffer and maybe some little kid asking his Mom, " Why is there no tomato on my grilled cheese sandwich Mommy?"

CRIST COULD GO ALLLL THE WAYYYY

Sorry Speakies had to post one more before evening comes.

Florida Do Nothing Governor Charlie Crist has now turned his focus on the National Football League's upcoming draft. He has spoken to a Florida pro team about them drafting University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow. Gee Charlie have you no other important issues pending in the State of Florida? Let's see what needs to be done: Education funding, road construction, jobs, health insurance problems, senior citizen concerns, housing and foreclosures.

Sorry! you are going to do something Governor like that is to sign the "High Speed Rail" bill when it comes to your desk. The rail line that goes from Poinciana, FL to Deland, FL. that probably no one will really pay and ride. People run toll booths now and you think they'll pay to ride the rail.

As far as Timmy goes he will be saying Hello Oakland, California but us poor Floridians hope you don't go to Washington.

JOEYZ SPEAKS

Hello Speakies:

Here are some opinions from JoeyZ himself. Last night Roe and I were watching a TV show when a commercial for shampoo came on. Here are three friends having lunch at a restaurant when all of a sudden the woman in the middle starts scratching her hair constantly. How would you like to have a little white dandruff mixed in with your Pecorino Romano cheese to top off your Caesar Salad? Come on commercial wizards that is one disgusting commercial to watch.

Things are popping here in Tiger Town Central Florida. This story gets better everyday but the local yokel news will kill it to death just like the Casey Anthony story. Just report the important stuff concerning this story. The guy screwed up just like an average Joe could. We don’t need to know what color shoes he was wearing leaving his house.

We saw a new show last night starring Scott Bakula, Andre Braugher and Ray Romano called “Men of a Certain Age.” A new comedy with a lot of human interest emotion mixed in. Catch it on TNT Monday nights at 10PM.

I’m going to scout around for some more stuff and maybe I’ll see you later, if not have a great evening.

REMEMBER THEM

Good Evening Speakies:

I just wanted to make one last post for the day. 68 years ago, December 7, 1941, 2,402 Americans died and over 1,200 were injured at Pearl Harbor. Let us never forget the sacrifice they made for our freedom, along with all the men and women who served in World War II. Remember them in your prayers this evening.

GOVERNMENT PUTS BITE ON DOG

BREAKING NEWS SPEAKIES FROM CLEARWATER, FLORIDA.

Man bites dog, not really but man’s best friend lost his job today. An owner of a Gas Station/Convenience store received a warning from the Florida Department of Health informing him that his dog must go. It seems the dog a Lab retriever works as a greeter in the store wearing a company shirt and name tag. The Department of Health declared that if the dog continued working they would declare all the sodas, snacks as unfit for consumption. Come on Health Guys all the snacks are sealed but you have to pick on somebody for something. I have an idea for you, send some undercover agents to some of these stores and enforce the “NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, NO SERVICE” law, some of these scum bags are worse than dogs.

Strictly the opinion of JoeyZ.

SCHOOL DAYS GOOD OLD GOLDEN RULE DAYS

Hello Speakies:

Just heard a story out of Orlando, FL that a lawsuit is to be filed today charging that Florida has failed to adequately fund education and provide for a system of “High Quality” public schools. This in violation of the state constitution according to the papers filed. The suit charges that Florida’s education budget is inadequate and its low graduation rate and test scores prove that the public schools are not of high quality.

Before school started this year, every evening on the local news all you heard was how much the school budgets had to be cut. No more sports, no more after school activities, field trips etc. Parents constantly being urged to contribute for school supplies, teachers paying for the supplies on their own. Protests by parents and students alike begging to keep certain schools and programs open in the news everyday. School board members kept saying, “We must cut and keep cutting, we don’t have the funds.” We have a state lottery here, with the funds supposedly going to aid education, show me the money and where it goes!

County and State politicians however are always ready to put money in their pockets with contracts for new homes, offices and shopping centers. We don’t need any more houses, hotels and stores there are enough now. Ride down US192 and see all the business closed with buildings boarded up it looks like a ghost town from the Old West. Instead on renovating stadiums and building new arenas use that money towards education and new schools.

Here’s another frostbite on my butt. FCAT, educators do you want student’s grades and standards to improve? Rid Florida of FCAT and start teaching basic education. These kids are shoved that stuff down their throats for half the school year, stop it. My wife went to a store awhile ago and the poor girl working behind the counter had trouble counting to give the correct change, so my wife taught her how. Basic math, science, English start teaching it again and see how your schools will improve. Here’s another hint screen your teachers too many strange birds in the news lately. You know molesters, criminal records, even one that threatened to kill the administrator and some students. Listen to JoeyZ.

Have a nice evening Guys and Dolls and be careful out there.
