GOOD MORNING ALL:
Hope to find you all in a great mood as it is Hump Day for the working stiffs. Today Joey Z will be teaching some history of the day.
HAPPY BIRTHDAYS:
1924 - Gloria Vanderbilt, "my jeans look good on you." They should they probably cost about $50 a pair in the 80's.
1949 - Ivana Trump, the ex good looking wife of Donald Trump. This guy pisses my ass off and that's all I'm saying.
1955 - Kelsey Grammer better known as Frasier Crane to most of us. I still love watching his show. He and Niles are great together for all the barbs they throw at each other.
DIED TODAY:
1985 - Clarence Nash, the voice of Donald Duck.
1992 - Dick York, husband on the TV show Bewitched.
STUFF FOR TODAY:
1673 - 1'st recorded reord of a wine auction held in London, England. Hey guys send me over a nice bottle of White Zinfandel.
1792 - U.S. Postal Service established. How much was a stamp in those days? Did they have a mailman or did they have to go to the post office?
1942 - Lt. E. H. O'Hare downs 5 Japanese heavy bombers. That man was an ace in those days.
1962 - John Glenn was the first to orbit the Earth in Friendship 7.
1993 - Florida Marlins open their first Spring Training Camp in Florida. We saw one of their games at Osceola Stadium in Kissimmee, FL. I have a Marlins hat signed by Wayne Huizenga the first owner of the Marlins.
Have a great day Guys and Dolls and I hope you all learned a little history of the day.

Two guys who are in Skip's Hall of Shame are Peter Yarrow and Kelsey Grammar. Kelsey tried to lure a young 14 year ole female fan into his hotel room in Par-Troy NJ for and encounter and got busted in a sting. Peter or Peter Paul and Mary did three months for taking "improper liberties" with another 14 year old girl.
Skip, sorry Joe, I have a short fuse for child pervs.
Skip: Never knew about Kelsey Grammar. I don't follow that TMZ show any longer or those other Star searching idiots. Hope all is fine and thanks for your comments as usual.
Joe, how could I miss the comment on the Navy flyer Butch O'Hare for whom Chicago's airport was named. Few know that his Father, Edward was one of Al Capone's lawyers only to turn on him at the end and help in his conviction.
Spip
Skip: Someone sent me that info and I just thought I'd pass it along.
