CHOCOLATES, CHERRIES AND SNACKS

Happy Thursdays Guys and Dolls:

Well gang February is almost half-over and March is marching in as we speak. This being a Leap Year good old February has 29 days instead of 28. Joey Z wishes all my Leaper Readers a very Happy Leap Year Birthday. Not much on the calendar today for holidays but we do have some good February Food Holidays to check out.

CHOCOLATE LOVER’S MONTH – Everyone loves a piece of chocolate now and then just like I do. My favorite kind of chocolates are those little mini-bars like Nestles Crunch, Kit Kats, Mr. Goodbar or Dove etc., just enough to wet my desire for chocolate.

NATIONAL CHERRY MONTH – I remember as a kid a neighbor of ours had a cherry tree in the backyard and they did not object to us kids eating some of them, however those cherries were the kind you would make a pie from, sour but good. Now I just purchase cherries from the local grocery store and enjoy the sweeter variety. When I have my Manhattan-on-the-Rocks there must always be a Maraschino Cherry or two sitting in the bottom of my glass.

NATIONAL SNACK MONTH – Come on we are all snack freaks be it for chips and dip, pretzels, nachos, crackers or any of the variety of snacks that are out there to munch on. My urges go in spurts one week chips, the next pretzels, followed by Asian crackers, soft pretzels with mustard. Just call me Mr. Change.

Well Speakies have some snacks, cherries and chocolate this month eat in moderation but enjoy. Have a great day.
