Go Fly a Kite, that’s not meant to be sarcastic today is “GO FLY A KITE DAY.” Kites have really become a work of art today, back in my youth a kite was 2 sticks, one piece of paper and you buying a roll of string and hoping the thing would fly high. I remember my first kite, my Dad took me over to the Farmer’s Market parking lot and we let that baby go only for it to get caught on a telephone pole. Hoping my kite would break free the wind broke it apart and took it to kite heaven. I think that was my one and only kite. I remember when we moved here my sons got a kite and I can still see Roe running up and down the back portion of our land and getting the baby up and flying she did a great job. So if you have a little guy or doll, pick up a cheap kite and have some fun today.

FLYING HIGH NOW

The Boy Scouts of America were founded this date in 1910. A great organization as my son was a member of the Boy Scouts. He really enjoyed his scouting days which even included a trip to England. It’s a great learning tool and character builder for a young boy.
Here’s one “LAUGH AND GROW RICH DAY.” I say let me get rich and then I’ll laugh. It’s probably a true saying laughter makes your life richer which is good advice. We need to laugh more with all the troubles that surround us these days. So belt out a few good laughs and make it contagious to others.
Molasses Bar Day – Take this day along with Granola Bar Day and dedicate it to the squirrels and birds of the world. Yeah, Yeah it’s a healthy snack with all that fiber and other stuff but you can break your teeth trying to bite into one. My substitute for a Molasses Bar is a Slim Jim.
Have a great day gang and be careful out there.
