Monday is here again and I hope you all had a great weekend. Roe and I did celebrating my daughter-in-law Elizabeth’s birthday and graduation. Today’s holidays aren’t great so let’s see what happen this date. Time for a little history lesson to keep those brains sharp.
1566 – St. Augustine, FL founded – The Fountain of Youth was just water.
1777 – Marquis de Sade arrested – He was a bad, bad boy.
1860 – King Basse Kajuara departs Boni South-Celebes – Who was he and where was he going.
1861 – Abraham Lincoln declared President.
1924 – King Tut’s tomb opened – A can of worms was started.
1952 – Rocky Marciano wins his 39th straight fight. YO I DID IT.
1959 – Barbie Dolls go on sale – Who would ever think of all the cash those dolls made.
1971 – Golfing Vice President Spiro Agnew hits 2 tee shots into the crown and injures two. Just like every Republican can’t be straight about anything.
1972 – Grease opens on Broadway.
1982 – Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” is on the chart list for the 402nd week.

Well to keep it simple as I can, you had to have a good fundamental understanding of the history of Indonesia which fortunately for us, being gradumuates of Saint Hedwigs School, we of course were since if you recall Kajuara was a place just outside Krakow where the nuns were all trained in the cultural mores and folkways since the Felecian Mother House at Lodi had a vacation retreat there. Now, being rich in rice, coffee and gold along with the all important cordage fiber of the Goumauti Tree which at the time was a closely held secret since a knot tied from a Goumauti fiber and only a knot of that fiber could deliver a stinging blow that was able to render an seventh grade boy totally helpless and in a state of shock. It was said that the a Goumauti knot would accelerate well past the speed of sound in under an nano-second which is not to be confused with Mork's nanu-second. So and thusly between 6 degrees latitude north and as far as 2 degrees south we had the 7 Chief's who though they swore allegance to King Basse were actually on the side of the Queen of The Tello's; a vassalage of King Bonni and the Sultans of the regions of Mendano, Gorontelo and Duran. Perhaps later known as Duran-Duran. Thus the pattern starts to emerge! So the King Basse becomes aware of the plot to get not only the gold and coffee but the much coveted Goumauti Knot or the Sacred Knot of Indonesia and Celebes, but he is on the lam where he will meet and form up with Count Bassie and the Sultans who upon seeking refugium in London Town, became known as the Sultans, yes, The Sultans of Swing.
