Luee

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.

GROUNDHOGS AND BOTTLE CAPS AND SADNESS

NEWS FLASH - Joey Z reporting live from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. That great prognosticator of weather Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his burrow his morning and saw his shadow meaning 6 more weeks of winter weather. Well it’s going to be 80 degrees in Florida today so for all those winter loving folks enjoy the weather.

A great invention was patented this date the “Bottle Cap” but with the bottle cap one also needed a church key to open the cap or if a key was not available the metal fender of a car would do nicely. We use to crack those coke bottle caps off in a snap on a fender or any metal object that had an edge available. Memories of the good old days, a bottle of coke, pack of cigs, matches and a church key.

If you are a fan of fruit, Kiwi is number one today. The Kiwi is the edible berry of a cultivar group of the woody vine Actinidia deliciosa. Kiwifruit is about the size of an egg, has a fibrous dull brown-green skin and bright green or golden flesh with tiny black edible seeds. The fruit has a soft texture and sweet flavor. I never had kiwi till I moved to Florida and if you never tried kiwi please do it’s very refreshing.

I want to also wish you a great weekend and a good start to the new week. I’ll see you on Tuesday as I have other priorities to take care of. Tomorrow is a day of remembrance called “THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED.” On February 3, 1959, a small plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa claimed the lives of Rock and Roll pioneers: Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson. A true tragedy in Rock and Roll history. Please enjoy the songs I picked out by those three talented musicians.

Enjoy the Super Bowl on Sunday, may your team win, mine is not in it. Please be careful out there and don’t drink and drive.
