I thought I was finished writing this afternoon but reality stuck out its ugly head. A news story from Ocala, Florida that got my gander. A couple who drove around without connecting their 7-month-old son’s car seat was stopped for a third time, resulting in DUI and child neglect charges. The couple’s car was spotted and stopped at 3 a.m. by sheriff’s deputies. What are they doing with a small baby in a car, drunk at that time of the morning?
Daddy Bear had 5 beers and smoked some crack cocaine and was stopped two other times the same night for having an open container in the car. Why wasn’t he arrested than? Mommy Bear was also drinking and smoking cocaine. Both failed sobriety tests, I guess so. Daddy Bear told the police he was driving erratically because Mommy wanted more cocaine to puff on.
You all know the article I wrote the other day, these two knuckle heads are pure candidates for some snip snip action before they get out of jail.

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.
