What is October; well October to me has always been the official start of the Fall Season. It is also the National Month of:
Hispanic Heritage.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month – So Ladies, please see your doctor and get those mammograms.
National Aids Awareness Month.
And one of my favorites, “Polish American Heritage Month.”
Today, October 6th, we celebrate:
Diversity Day
German American Day – Some Sauerbraten mit Spaetzle und Rotkraut would be nice for lunch or dinner.
Child Health Day – Keep the little ones in good health.
Physician Assistant Day – Praise those assistants, when you can’t see the doctor because he’s all booked up.
History was kind of lame today so I’m letting your minds rest to get ready for the baseball playoffs. Have a great day Speakies and be careful out there.

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.
