Luee

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.

Hellsapoppin in Florda

In a nut shell the weather in Florida today is thunderstorms, tornado warnings and watches, wind and lots of rain. My observation of the rain in Florida is the following, we never seem to have a nice steady soaking rain for hours to make all those little plants and grass grow and turn green. We start with the darkening of the sky, wind blowing like a hurricane and than the rain coming down in sheets. Put this all together with the tourists and you have mass confusion on the highways. On days like this one, remain home with a nice book and a Manhattan on the Rocks. Hoping your day is great, talk to you later.

Summer storms cool and clean the air for a bit on july and august afternoons around here:)
In the days before we all had
air conditioning they were often a welcome addition to the day:)

The rain we had today really cooled the temperature down from high 80's to the low 70's now. I really enjoy the cooler weather, saves on air conditioning and lets the breezes flow through the house.
I remember the summers up there when I was young we had no air, just fans and prayed for rain in the summer. Used a lot of baby powder in those days.

Joe Z...a little update on NJ weather. I was in 4 counties today-Burlington, Mercer, Ocean and Monmouth. I saw SUN, RAIN, LIGHTNING, heard THUNDER, then the FOG rolled in and it started to HAIL. And while all of this was going on, the seniors decided to get on the Interstate to go pay some bills. If Dante lived in NJ, this would be in "The Inferno". Don't want to hear about a little rain.
