Barb: Glad to see you back on Mack's Blog. I thought someone may have snatched you away on your appraisal journeys throughout Jersey. If I had to get you back my bait is posted above. Now that I know your safe, go out and have a tomato pie and take the first bite for me.

Joey Z,
From the way this tomato pie has been sliced, I have to venture to say that it is one from DeLorenzo's on Hudson. Sure could go for one now.
Stephen, you and me both. I haven't had one in 19 years since we left Trenton. You are correct on the location of the pie, I found it on the internet somewhere, it was from DeLorenzo's on Hudson.
Joe Z...thank you, this was a very sweet welcome home (or should I say garlicky). The next time we are in DeLorenzo's, I'm taking a picture of us and sending it along.
Barb, glad to hear all went fine with the testing. Take care and send me that pic. Talk soon, Roe is doing good. Thanks for asking.
OK all you pie-lovers..here is a liitle bit of trivia about Tomatoe Pie......The term “Tomato Pie” was coined in the 1940’s by Felix "Phil" Pratico Sr. of Chambersburg. The first sign that ever read "Tomato Pies" was posted at “Nate’s Inn” (now called "Nate's Pub") on Lalor Street.
And now you know....the Truth!!
Thanks Sax for the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
