Luee

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.

FORGOT A FAMOUS BEER

GOOD AFTERNOON GUYS AND DOLLS:

 How could I forget Piel's Brother's Beer

Piels was founded in 1883 by the Piel brothers: Gottfried, Michael and Wilhelm Piel.  It  descended from an old Rhenish stock of farmers and to the original and extensive Stoffeln Farm, in Germany were now brewed..

The most famous thing about Piels Beer are the characters, Bert and Harry Piels.

I remember these guys watching the Old Mets and Yankees play on TV back home.  Hope it brings back memories to some of you..

Now I'm in the mood for a cold one dang it! I loved Bert and Harry commercials!

Joe, at Naval Air Station Guam, our line shack was a beat up trailer that was the only air conditioned oasis on base except for the officers offices and if you were tight with "Bad Toe Benson" who lorded over the shack (his toe was run over by a B-66), you could sneak in for a cold beer or soda. Unlike the Air Force we Naval Airdales still slept with 50 guys in an open barracks with no air conditioning in the 100 degree heat of Guam. When I visited some of the Air Force guys up at Andersen, they had private rooms each with it's own a/c for E-4 and up. You folks had it made. Our food was great however and I was pushing the 200 pound mark :)

Yes, us Air Bird guys had 3 to a room, but life was military as usual.

When I made Staff Sgt. there was no room at the NCO's barracks so I rented a trailer 3 miles from the base in a small country town.

Loved Bert and Harry, I always want to say Bert and Ernie.
