Happy Hump Day Guys and Dolls:
Well half the work week is about over and I hope your day is starting off right. With those kiddies back in school filling their little minds with knowledge each day means it could be trouble for you parents. Suppose they come home and ask you “what came first, the chicken or the egg?” Still a mystery to me too. So Joey Z has decided to get into an occasional “Mystery Question Day” here on my blog. So if you are ready remember this question and answer.
WHY DO GEESE FLY IN A “V” FORMATION? – Scientists have determined the v-shaped formation serves two important purposes. Number one it conserves their energy. Each bird flies slightly above the bird in front of him, resulting in a reduction of wind resistance. The geese take turns being in front and falling back when they get tired. In this way the geese can fly for a longer period of time until they must stop to rest.
The second purpose is that is easy to keep track of every bird in the group. Flying in that formation controls the communication between the birds. That’s the reason fighter pilots do the same. Well I hope you enjoy the first “Mystery Question.” More to come I promise.
Today is also “STRANGE MUSIC DAY.” Let me tell you most of today’s music is strange. Now don’t go blasting me, I have my favorite music to listen to and you have yours. To listen to music on the radio bores the living hell out of me, they play the same songs over and over, that’s the reason people buy CD’s. or have Sirius Radio installed. Well enough for today, have a great one Speakies.
