Luee

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.

NAPS AND LIGHTENING

Happy Friday Guys and Dolls:

Well in a few hours we will start the weekend, that wonderful two days of rest and enjoyment or maybe not. One could nap on the hammock with a cool drink under a nice shade tree or sweat it out doing that “Honey Do” list. I’m for the nap in the hammock myself but under a palm tree.

If you are planning a visit here in Florida, the weather remains hot, highs in the 90’s with chances of showers everyday. This is the norm for summer weather here. Be prepared and dress accordingly and drink plenty of fluids.

Let’s see whose birthdays we celebrate today:
Hap Arnold – General WWII.
George Orwell – Author Animal Farm and 1984.
June Lockhart – Lassie fame.
Eddie Floyd – Rocker.
Carly Simon – Singer.
Jimmie Walker – JJ of Good Times.

Stuff:
1956 – Collision of the Andrea Doria and Stockholm occurred killing 51 passengers.
And the big happening was in 1977, Roy Sullivan of that great Southern State of Virginia is struck by lightening for the 7th time in his life. Reminds me of that guy at the bar in that John Candy movie “The Great Outdoors.”

I leave you with one proverb to live by: He who cannot describe the problem will never find the solution to that problem.

Enjoy the music of “A Five-O’clock World” and the weekend will be here soon.

Have a great weekend Speakies, be careful but have fun.
