Good Morning Speakies:
Two stories this morning one of the turtle and the chase, the other; the search for a cat serial killer.
Cocoa Beach, FL - Four men led deputies on a 90 mph chase on the Beeline (It's now called the Beachline, but I call it the Beeline). Deputies saw the truck swerving in and out of the traffic and began to follow it, but the driver sped up with beer cans starting to fly out of the truck. When stopped, deputies found a soft shell turtle in the bed of the truck, which is a violation of the Florida wildlife law. Of the four men arrested two are father and son, put under the arrest for DUI (Old saying applies here, "Like Father, Like Son"). The other two nimyos were arrested for violation of probation on a DUI.
My question is "would it have been the real turtle soup or merely the mock"?
Miami, FL - Horrified owners have been finding their cats killed and mutilated for the past months in two south Miami-Dade County communities. Many of the cats were missing fur and had been cut with a sharp instrument. There have been about 15 reported cases and owners are keeping their pets inside, raising reward money and warily eyeing strangers. What does a cat killer look like? A Jack the Ripper style of a man, dressed in black with a wide brim hat and a straight razor for the job. Who knows, but when this individual or individuals are apprehended I say lock them in the looney bin and throw away the key.
