Luee

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.

SAY HELLO TO OCTOBER

Good Morning Speakies:

Well tomorrow starts October and I’m sure the leaves are changing up North, the air becoming a little more brisk and the pumpkins are growing in the patch. I’ll be bringing you the daily observances, mixed with a little history like always, but I wanted you to know some of October’s Monthly Observances that I usually do not mention. Some October Observances are:

Adopt a Shelter Dog Month – There are so many just looking for a good home, if you can do it, do it.
Apple Month – Sink those teeth into a crisp Red or Golden Delicious. Maybe a nice Carmel Apple.
Eat Better Month – I’ll have another slice of Pepperoni Pizza.
German-American Heritage Month – Roll out the brats, sauerbraten and big steins of beer.
National Chili Month – Sounds good to me. Are you listening Roe?
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Ladies go get that exam you have been putting off.
Polish-American Heritage Month – Roll out the kielbasa, vodka, beer, stuffed cabbage and all that good stuff.
Spinach Lovers Month – Never liked it as a kid, love it now.
And last but not least for the kiddies
HALLOWEEN
