Good Morning Speakies:
Well it’s Hump Day, but it feels like a Tuesday to me. Those 3 day weekends make it rough to handle the rest of the work week. Today we observe:
Wonderful Weirdoes Day – I hold crazies dear to my heart and report on them when I find them running loose.
Teddy Bear Day – All kids should have one.
Hot Dog Day – First sold in 1884. I wonder what they put on it.
Lots of birthdays today:
1754 – Captain William Bligh – That nasty captain of the HMS Bounty.
1828 – Leo Tolstoy – Author War and Peace.
1890 – Harland Sanders – Colonel Sanders to the chickens.
1900 – James Hilton – The Hotel Guy.
1919 – Jimmy “The Greek” Snyder – I’ll give you 4 to 1 on the Phillies.
1924 – Nino Bibbia – Italian bobsled Gold medal winner 1948. Cool name.
1941 - Otis Redding – Sitting on the Dock of the Bay.
1950 – Tom Wopat – Luke Duke (Dukes of Hazzard).
1951 – Michael Keaton – Actor Batman.
Have a great day Speakies; I’m keeping an eye out for any of the weirdo’s we celebrate today.

Kentucky Fried Chicken somehow
tasted better when it was at
Gino's than when it became its
own place:)
I forgot all about that. There use to be a place near the old Lawrence Bowling alley near the circle called Pix. They had cheeseburgers and hamburgers and fries and drinks for 25 cents when I was in high school.
