Welcome back from the weekend and I hope it was a good one for all you Guys and Dolls. Today is “Make Up Your Own Holiday” so each of you can celebrate whatever you like. Maybe I’ll make mine “ITS GREAT TO BE POLISH DAY.” That’s it every March 26 on this blog will now be “ITS GREAT TO BE POLISH DAY.” We’ll have a polka playing on MixPod in fact we will start that right now as you are reading this. Everyone is to feast on Polish cuisines and take a few shots of Spiritus to warm the cockles of your heart and put you in that Polka dancing mood. Don’t worry I probably will forget about this holiday next year but I want someone out there to remind me prior to March 26. So Speakies start deciding on your own holiday today and get the celebration started.
I forgot a food holiday over the weekend; it was “National Chocolate Covered Raisins Day.” I remember them as Raisinets those chocolate covered raisin delights we all enjoyed as a kid at the movies. They are still being made to enjoy and Roe usually picks a few boxes of them up at the Dollar Tree Store when she is planning a trip to the movies. Speaking of movie candy do you remember the different kinds of candies they sold at the concession stand? Let me see what I can remember: Necco Wafers, Jujubes (I always called them tooth stickers), Jujyfruits, Goobers Chocolate covered peanuts, Chocolate covered Bon-Bon ice creams in a box, Dots, those Junior Mints and I’m sure there were plenty more to enjoy. If you remember any post a comment please.
