Luee

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.

THANK YOU VETERANS

Happy Friday Speakies:

Wishing all my Guys and Dolls a very Happy Friday and hopes for a great weekend. I would like to take this time to wish all my Guys and Dolls, that also includes Joey Z who served in the military a special thanks on “VETERANS’ DAY.” Veterans’ Day is an annual and federal holiday devoted to military veterans. It is also observed as Armistice Day falling on November 11, the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. The war was declared over at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of November in 1918. So to all you Vets enjoy your day.

The food holiday today is “NATIONAL SUNDAE DAY.” I can still remember those Walk-Away Sundaes at the Burg Diary on Home Ave. That was one tasty ice cream delight and I also remember the cherry parfaits at the Parfait House on Route 33 in Mercerville were one of my favorites. I know the diary is gone but not sure if the Parfait House is still there. There is another food holiday this weekend that caught my eye “PIZZA WITH THE WORKS”; we will discuss that one in more detail next week. Have a great weekend and enjoy.

I'm sure JoeZ will root for Navy this weekend?

I was in the "other Navy" and never saw a ship. Well I did, went down to the pier once and saw a New Zealand destroyer. Big gray thing right?

I was an "airdale", an aircraft tin-bender who "skated" out of carrier duty.

Good scrapple yesterday! My occasional treat, two over easy and great hash browns that were home-made.
