Good Morning Guys and Dolls:
Well we made it through another Monday and when you got home from work last evening I hope you all had a pleasant and relaxing night. One major holiday today it is:
National Pot Smoking Day – It’s a day where people from all over the world celebrate the consumption of that magical herb, marijuana. It’s the unofficial counterculture holiday based upon the simple concept of smoking some weed and being happy. I just imagine seeing Cheech and Chong with that gigantic rolled-up smoke. They made some funny movies. Last week Roe and I caught a portion of that great 1936 pot propaganda film “Reefer Madness.” The movie cracked us both up; the people that were smoking pot looked like crazed zombies from a horror movie. All I can say is the times sure have changed.
The weather is not looking good for those coming down on vacation for the first couple days this week. We’ve had rain yesterday and some more showers with a possible thunderstorm may occur this afternoon. Highs will be in mid 80’s and at night in the mid 60’s. Sunny to partly cloudy skies should make your stay enjoyable starting Wednesday. Damn I should be on the local news as a weatherman, I said what had to be said and that’s it. Not every five minutes like the weatherman here in Florida.
