Hello and Happy Hump Day Guys and Dolls:
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. Remember that saying, well Speakies if you love ice cream you will enjoy this holiday. Today is “31 Cent Scoop Night” at Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream. All scoops will be 31 cents and donations will be made to the fallen firefighters of America. So get out there and have a few scoops and help a good cause.
We also celebrate Workers Memorial Day it takes place annually around the world on April 28, an international day of remembrance and action for workers killed, disabled and injured by their work.
For all you Moonies out there the full moon on this date is called “Pink Moon” started by Native American Indians because at this time, wildflowers that included the pink ground phlox hailed the arrival of spring.
How about some weird facts:
There are 18 different animal shapes in the Animal Crackers cookies.
In Tokyo, a bicycle is faster than a car for most trips.
Most lipstick contains fish scales.
Porcupines float in water.
Thomas Edison, the inventor of the light bulb was afraid of the dark.
Jiffy is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second.
Try this one the next time you have fresh champagne, a raisin dropped in will bounce up and down continuously from the bottom of the glass to the top.
How about this one also, it is impossible to lick your elbow – who would want to.
Enough with all these facts and wisdom I’m giving your grey matter, have a great day, have fun, love and be careful out there.
