Luee

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND

HAPPY FRIDAY TO ALL:

In just a few hours well maybe a little more than a few the weekend will be here. I hope all you Speakies will enjoy the days off and like I always tell you be careful out there.

The kiddies in Florida start school on Monday so the roadways will be crazy once more. All you Floridian Speakies drive safe and keep those eyes peeled for the little ones crossing the roadways.

I had the Travel Channel on last night and they confirmed Man vs. Food, next Wednesday, August 25 will air the episode of Adam Richman at Marucas Tomato Pies in Seaside Heights, NJ. For all you transplant Trenton area folk watch and remember what the pies looked and tasted like.

Going to run, have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

Marucas down by the Olden Theater. My original digs were by the bus yard at 68 North Olden and heaven on Saturday was the kids special with the cartoons and a Hop-A-Long double feature. A rare treat was an evening stroll to Maruca's and waiting in line on the sidewalk.

On a sad note Joe, I don't know if you remember Bob Zegarski he was from Ellis & Heil and down on Bruening Avenue. Soccer coach for Notre Dame and all that. Died in Chicago last week. He was one of the regulars at the circle ball games.

My Buddy came up with few that shook my memory from our old neighborhood. Uncle Sam's Diner was where they put Gino's and there was the old Fritz's Diner a few more blocks down on Princeton .. by Cain Avenue. Extension Field for soccer in the pre Korvette's Days or the first store down there Union Op ?

Hi Skip: Bob Zegarski I remember the name and his soccer playing but can't remember his face. I read about it this morning in the Trentonian on-line. Fritz's Diner I remember and my dad and I watched soccer every Sunday at Extension Field. We use to go for tomato pie at that joint before you go over the Olden Ave Bridges on the right hand side. Louis's Tomato Pies, they were good too. I played basketball with the Sokolowski brothers at St. Hedwig's don't know if you knew them. Jay coached us at JV level. My aunt Sadie lived on Princeton Ave. just where it forked off, I think there was a liquor store next to their house. Have a good weekend Skip, thanks for commenting.
