Happy Friday Speakies:
Just wanted to stop by and make my quick “Happy Weekend Wishes” to all my readers. I guess the only football on this weekend is the Pro Bowl from Hawaii, if nothing else is on I’ll tune in for a look to see the score. I’d like to say thank you to the readers asking how Roe is feeling, she is feeling better each day but it takes time. She will be attending a Scrapbooking Swarm this weekend with all her scrapper buddies, so have fun honey.
For my readers if you like bubble wrap and carnations you are in luck. This weekend we celebrate “BUBBLE WRAP DAY” AND “CARNATION DAY.” Carnations are Roe’s favorite flowers, they last a long time in a vase and come in many colors for her to enjoy.
Now for all those out there from Trenton or any of my readers who desire a great tasting cheeseburger, my blog buddy Mack posted this on his site yesterday. I had to write him and say don’t tease me; my mouth is watering for one of these right now. Here is a picture of a Rossi Cheeseburger with Cheddar and Onions. You can just feel your mouth drooling.

Rossi's was part of the Happy Days or in more sociological terminology, a "Rite of Passage".
Such things may include your "Confirmation" which happened at "the age of reason" where the individual was now capable of telling true right from wrong.
Then there were the fun "Rites of Passage" like when one of you started driving and the secret was out. Rossi's was the place to go and sit in the back room wishing you were old enough for a beer but who needed a nice cold beer with a burger (rare-medium-rare), like that sitting in front of you.
And Mike and Joe the first thing my eye went to were those fried onions. Yummmm.
An order of cole-slaw and fries which came with the Deluxe, There was one weird habit in Rossi's ... my fries got dipped in mayo. I have no clue as to why?
Let's go, pile in, I got "The Old Man's Car" after he gets home from work, Joey Z has shotgun and Mack since you are younger, on second thought who knows their way around the Burg better, I always get lost.
Then we hit the Greenwood Dairy for a "Pigs Dinner".
Skip .... smelling fried onions
Skip you are the wise man bringing back the days of old.
Each Rossi Burger comes with its own Zip Code LOL
Chocolate had me up late last night, thinking and thinking.
For that matter my wife "Julu" is often amazed with the store of totally useless trivia I carry around up there. Last night was the band ... "Three Dog Night" ... so she asks and I tell her that it is an Abo term for a cold night in the bush. An Abo will hole up to stay warm and if it's cold will take a dog or two in the den with him. A very cold night to an Abo is a "Three Dog Night".
Oh, Chocolate? I kept remembering that squarish cake and Tastykake Junior just kept coming to mind but .. as you remember that was a vanilla cake with chocolate icing; a layer on top and middle.
Drakes and Tasty often had products that were mirror image so the Tasty "creamies" were like the Devil Dogs and the Tasty "swiss rolls" were like the ring-dings or yo-yo's.
But, what I found on the net was a reference to our beloved Tasty Junior and it also came in a "Chocolate Lovers Limited Edition" and back then I don't think they called it anything that fancy or "up-scale" so to speak. They just didn't make them all the time.
10,000 miles from home and the base "PX" got in a shipment of Tasty cup cakes. Another fellow from the area and I bought "case" (12 pack), and a quart of milk each and sat under a palm tree and for a few moments all was right with the world again. The little things can mean so much.

Good One Mack, I had a burger here last week and as I picked up the burger the bottom was so soggy it fell apart. ARRRGG. Have a great weekend and I hope no snow.
Skipster: You should start your own blog of Skip Trivia. Good story of Tasty Kakes and milk. I'm going to have research that chocolat cake.
