Good Morning Speakies:
Well it is Thursday, July 30 and almost August. Originally August was named Sextilis in Latin because it was the sixth month in the ancient Roman calendar. August is National Family Fun Month, Little League Baseball Month and my favorite Romance Awareness Month. As far as food goes, it is also National Catfish Month. As we get into the month of August, I will fill your craniums with knowledge regarding the last hot month of summer vacation.
Being July 30th lets say “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” to those born today, whether they are here or not.

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.

August was when we did THAT SCHOOL
STUFF SHOPPING TRIP often at
Atlantic Mills..
The local newspapers used to publish our names in class lists
around August so we knew who our
Teachers and Classmates were going to be.
Went to Catholic schools all my life, did not know who was going to teach you until you got to the classroom. I remember those lists being printed in the paper and Atlantic Mills was a great place to go and shop.
