Luee

Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.

TODAY IN HISTORY, MAY 14TH

Let me get away from political statements and on to the important things that occurred in history today.

Born on May 14:

1898 - Zutty Singleton - U.S. jazz drummer (I liked the name)
1936 - Bobby Darin (Walden Waldo Cassotto), Bronx, NY - Would have been the next Sinatra.

Died on May 14:

1982 - Hugh Beaumont - Actor - Won't call for the Beaver no more.
1987 - Rita Hayworth - Actress - She was a Knockout.
1998 - Frank (Francis Albert) Sinatra - The all around man, dies from heart and kidney disease, bladder cancer and senility at age 82. He died "HIS WAY".

Things that Happened on May 14:

1878 - Vaseline is 1st sold. - I'll just leave it at that.
1908 - 1st passenger flight in an airplane - Had to be a short trip.
1918 - Indians' Stan Coveleski sets club record for most innings pitched in one game (19) - Who said us "Polaks" can't play baseball.
1932 - "We Want Beer!" parade in New York.
1951 - Ernie Kovacs TV Show debuts on NBC - Trenton, NJ boy makes good.
1966 - "A Lover's Concerto", sung by Mrs. Miller hits #95 on the charts.
1991 - World's Largest Burrito created at 1,126 pounds - Taco Bell restaurants close nationwide for a day.

Thought for Today - "Most campaign literature is an insult to intelligence. Sad that many never realize it".
