Luee
We adopted Luee from the Humane Society in 1996. He was 2 years old, but still a pup. He has slowed down a bit; his age is catching up to him. He is the best dog anyone could ever have. Luee had to be put to sleep on April 15, 2009. Rest in Peace Pup.

Actress Ann B. Davis, 1926 - Alice the Maid from the Brady Bunch
Michael Palin, 1943 - One of Monty Python's Gang
Died this Date: Nobody of great importance.
Stuff that Happened Today:

YOUR FAVORITE TOMATO PIE OR PIZZA JOINT
I want to try something with this new post. I'm starting to get hits on my site from all over the good old USA. I know most people like pizza or where I come from in Jersey we call it tomato pie. Readers, I want you to list your favorite pizza place and location and maybe a brief description of what makes it special. I figure if any of you visit one of cities listed, you can stop in for a pie. What do you have to lose, just a few minutes of your time. I'm going to list this post under the heading of Pizza/Tomato Pies and feel free to add to it at any time.
I'm starting it off with 3 places: Joey Z says
Trenton, NJ - DeLorenzo's for regular tomato pie and Nino's on Chambers St. for Sicilian pie.
Kissimmee, FL - LaForchetta on John Young Parkway.

2 Crazies in Florida Today
Researched the local news and one of these stories made national news on Yahoo today also.
Lakeland, FL - Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to the home of Troy Ryan Bellar, age 34 of Lakeland, FL after receiving calls of a domestic disturbance at 9:30 p.m. last night. Old Troy using a high-powered rifle with scope, shot his wife, 2 sons ages 5 months and 7 years old as they were leaving the residence. His older son managed to get away only after being shot at several times, all misses. Troy shot himself and did not miss. TROY THERE HAS TO BE A HELL FOR YOU.
Orlando, FL - A local Radio personality got angry with his dog, picked up a handgun and threatened to shoot the dog, the gun went off wounding the dog in the leg. The bullet also struck his wife in the head. Both wife and man's use to be best friend will fully recover. One thing to say to you MR. RADIO MAN YOU'RE AN IDIOT.

CALENDAR FOR TODAY, MAY 4, 2009
Good Morning Readers: This week we celebrate National Wildflower Week, so go out and pick some. For today's date of May 4, the following holidays are celebrated:
Melanoma Monday - No joke, take care of your skin and go for that checkup you're always putting off.
Respect for Chickens Day, I'm not kidding. So be kind to our clucksters and forget lunch or dinner at KFC, Popeyes or Chick-Fil-A. Have a nice burger or tuna salad today.
Be prepared for a brief history lesson later today or tomorrow, I will also have to check out the crazies here in Florida and give you any news on their return to the local headlines here in the sunshine state.
